Economics is important in business education because it enhances the understanding of the students about macroeconomics (deals with the study of society's economic behaviour) and microeconomics (deals with the study of individual's decisions and the function of individual industries). To know these two branches of economics makes decision-making correct or is wisely done; for decision-making is a skill we need to or must have in order to survive daily living. Like accounting, marketing, and management, economics is also one of the business disciplines, the knowledge of it affects decisions. To be successful managers, accountants, or any business-related professions, we have to be well-trained in giving or doing decisions for the business to earn more and for the scarce resources to be used optimal. To learn how to trend in a country, what are the effective ways to protect its resources and be useful to many people. Economics' importance is for example, we’ll be working in our chosen field; we could help our business on its progress because we have an idea about the demands of consumers and because of that our goods being produced would not fritter away. Economics, in business, means is how society chooses to distribute wealth. The main reason why businesses are created is “earn more and expense less”, and in order to earn, a business must know what are the needs and wants of each of the people of which the business covers and how to maximize the resources and materials yet to produce functional stuffs. It serves as an advanced study. Taking up economics in college helps students acquire Analytical or Critical thinking skills, for economics has its own problems to solve and it needs deep analyzation in order to come up with the best answers or perhaps, alternatives. Quantitative skills, the ability to understand numbers, economics deals with numbers, there are numerical problem-solving and all the graphs in it represent quantitative concepts and lastly, Communication skills, you will learn to communicate your ideas in writing- through essay exams, papers, blog posts and homework. In addition, the small class sizes in the upper level classes allow you the opportunity to speak in class. For us, those are the importance of economics in business education.
